My name is Claire. I live on Dartmoor and have gained the nick-name ‘Mrs Outdoors’ from my children, because I love nothing more than to be outside. I have worked for years as a nurse, but now I want to spend more time doing what I love. Inspired by my love of Dartmoor walks with my own dog, Willow, I decided to hang up my scrubs and take to the leash instead. I hope your little friend can join me on my adventures!
As a fully trained, registered and insured dog walker, it is my pleasure to welcome new clients. I offer solo and group walks, ranging from a short 30 minute trot, to a 6 hour moor or beach day.

At Willow on the Moor, we value building trust with you and your dog through a free meet and greet session. This can be a chat over tea at home or a walk on your dog’s favourite path, helping us understand their needs.

Every dog is unique, with some preferring solo walks and others enjoying group company. We offer 30-minute or 1-hour walks, plus half-day or full-day trips to the moor or beach for adventurous dogs.

Safety
Nothing is more important to me than the safety and happiness of your furry friend. I am DBS checked, canine first aid trained and fully insured. For your peace of mind, if you choose for your dog to have an off the lead walk, they will be fitted with a GPS tracker.
My van is fully fitted with a dog hammock and crates for safe travels. Poo bags are provided and fresh drinking water is always to hand.
At the end of our walk, if it’s been a wet and muddy one, your dog will be washed down and towel dried before bringing home and settled down for a nap while they await your return. Photos and videos are sent so you can see first hand that your dog has had a lovely time and been returned home safely.
Responsibility
I follow the motto leave no trace. Poo bags are provided and all dogs always cleaned up after. Safety to myself and others – I will only ever walk a maximum of 4 dogs for their enjoyment and safety. Rescue dogs and reactive dogs welcome, please contact me to discuss additional requirements your dog may have. Home visits and playtime or very early morning, late afternoon walks offered if the weather is too hot for a walk.

It was very clear that she had an excellent knowledge around behaviour and what the needs of our dogs would be and made us feel confident. Safe spaces for them to retreat to, joint walks where are old girl was dropped home earlier so that our younger girl could have more exercise, snuggles, grooming, play, lots of photos and updates. We felt so happy to be leaving them in a home from home and feel so lucky to have found her!We know that our dogs will be excited to return, and that makes leaving them so much easier.”
